Community Engagement

Congregational Health Ministry (CHM) is an outreach arm of ICH that extends our mission beyond our walls to the community we serve. Our team partners with local groups at community events to provide a front line resource for healthcare prevention and education. To maximize awareness, we collaborate with public leaders and organizations including:

  • Affordable housing

  • Businesses

  • Colleges and universities

  • Community groups

  • Faith-based agencies

  • Nonprofits

  • Senior services

  • Youth serving organizations

CHM’S team uniquely promotes the mind/body alignment of spirituality and healthy living while serving all populations in need of front line health prevention and education. Complimentary services include:

  • Biometric screenings that give a snapshot of overall health

    • Blood pressure

    • Body Mass Index (BMI)

    • Cholesterol

    • Glucose

    • Pulse Oximetry (oxygen)

  • Immunizations

  • Education

    • CPR and first aid training

    • Individual and group health education

    • Mental health first aid

Jeri Ajayi

Director of Congregational Health Ministry

Jeri Ajayi has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with several years of experience in public outreach, health education, and health promotion. As a community activist, Jeri’s roots run deep in promoting equity for all persons, regardless of what they look like, where they come from, or who they love. She is encouraged by public health’s comprehensive approach to addressing the needs of individuals, families, and the communities in which we live.
