Eugenia Mays is a longtime patient with Inner City Health Center. In fact, she began coming to the clinic when it was still located at 3405 Downing Street in the historic Five Points neighborhood. That was when, as she says, “the love kicked in.” Eugenia served on the Patient Advisory Council before joining the Board of Directors. She is a people person who is willing to learn, wants to know, and then pass it on. Her passions are Sunday School, church, and crochet. Eugenia’s personal guiding principal is that we are “GOD'S Children, we are family… people helping people help themselves.”
Randy Milliken has the unique distinction of being the longest continuous patient served by ICH. Randy has been coming as a patient since the clinic was founded in 1983 at 3405 Downing Street in Five Points. He served on the Patient Advisory Council before joining the Board of Directors. Randy remembers the impact of hearing the song “Jesus Loves Me This I Know” as a child. Years later, he would hear it sung again at Bear Valley Baptist Church, but following the selection Bob and Jan Williams shared a vision with the church about starting the Inner City Health Center. Randy felt compelled to seek care at the fledgling clinic. Jan would be his counselor, and Bob (MD) would be his first physician. Randy credits this relationship as a big reason for solidifying his faith in Jesus Christ.
